How can we ensure that 100% of the voters vote during an election process?
Biggest democracy of the world is going to elect best capable people who can serve the country. However, around 20%+ of the eligible population who can vote - do not have Voter id or have migrated to different place or are travelling (trains, buses, flight).
Major challenges for people to caste Vote are:
- Dependent on people to get the voting slips - which consumes most of the time.
- Need to verify the person and enter in the register - which increases the queue time for the people.
- People have moved to a different place, cannot vote over there.
- People travelling in trains, buses, flights, or in cars on highway during the election date.
- Lack of importance of their Vote - They feel how their one vote will make an difference.
- Uneducated and illiterate people who are not even aware what is Voting and do not have Voter id.
- Someone has voted on behalf of the person using fake identity.
- Some People may be ill and may be admitted in hospitals
- Handicapped people cannot come to the polling booth.

Few thoughts on the same topic:
1.) An online portal can be developed for polling, where users can log in within a specified time limit using an OTP shared on the registered mobile number
2.) The portal can be developed as Android and iOS compatible to access from phone as well as computer
3.) While logging in for polling few more details may be opted from the user to avoid incorrect entry, e.g: Full Adhaar Number, PAN card Number, Voter ID card #
4.) A separate PIN # can also be devised for the same which can be sent to the user months before the polling, the combination of the OTP & the PIN can open up the portal for the user during the specified time of the polling
5.) Once the vote is given the same should reflect on the database and no further casting should be considered, specially manual vote.

Vision to ensure that 100% of eligible population should vote.
Even delaying the elections will also be good, as this is the very rare and important exercise.
(-2) Use Aadhar card instead of Voter id for voting as most of the people have it. Aadhar card enables for a quick biometric verification and registration. This ensures that all the manual and wasteful work is eliminated.
(-1) Have Aadhar enrollment centers for people who do not have Aadhar cards and provide them immediate print out of Aadhar card - basis which, they can vote.
(0) Make a mandatory law for people to vote - check people who did not caste their vote by putting up barricades. People who have not voted would be required to go to the nearest polling station to caste their vote ( where ever they are either in Railway station, bus stand or on highways).
(1) Vote from Anywhere Allow people from different places to vote using computers in voting booth. Person after verifying using the aadhar credentials will get the list of people who are standing in their constituency. They can press the buttons as displayed on the screen and confirm the vote by pressing the submit button.
(2) Instead of having one day election process make it to two days - this ensures that all the people vote.
(3) Provide opportunity for people on railways stations, bus stations, airports, hospitals, highways also to vote - by having voting booths and mobile voting vans and people as this contributes to good population of more than 5 crores. Using the Aadhar identification - no one can caste others vote.
(4) Ask people to check with their family and friends if they have voted or not. This looks very simple and funny - but makes a huge difference.
(5) Provide helpline numbers for people who cannot travel till the voting booth. They can be picked up by volunteers and citizens who can offer help to bring voters to the polling booth.
(Volunteers can register on the site or app to offer help to bring people to polling stations)
(6) This can be done within 7 days with the help huge technology and IT workforce in India. It should be a minuscule task to execute for such a big nation with so many talented people. This can be done by taking help of all the big IT companies around the world as well.If you liked the above suggestions. We would request you post your comments and implement the same before the next polling phase begins.

In Reference to the above
(1) People should be allowed to Vote from their Aadhar registered mobile
(2) One hour slot where everyone will be allowed to caste their vote using mobile and people who cannot caste their vote using mobile can visit the polling station. Similar to KBC Audience poll.
(3) People who do not have aadhar card and mobile can be given aadhar plus mobile - The money saved in the election process can be utilized in ensuring that every person in the country has a aadhar card.
(4) People can be educated using newspaper/media on how to vote and what precautions to take while voting.A person travelling in train or in hospital can easily caste their vote with minimal effort at their comfort. If anyone knows who has voted to whom that is also fine - This makes the country transparent and ensures a healthy democracy. ( The identity can be encrypted or can be delinked after the vote is casted)
Results will be out All our India, within 6 hours. Same day polling same day results across India.
